John Hart Committee Releases Documentary About Signer’s Life

The John Hart Memorial Committee was formed after having received funds from Lynda Dresser’s Trust with the purpose to honor Signer John Hart, she was a direct line descendant and member of DSDI.

If you have followed the progress this committee has made in the Spirit magazine and on our website and Facebook to honor John Hart, you have seen we started with restoring the gate to John Hart’s final resting place and updating the hardscape around his grave. We also have added a bench in front of the cemetery in Hopewell with a lovely plaque noting John and his wife Deborah donated the land for the Meeting house and cemetery.

Over the past almost two years, Greg Munro and Nancy McBride Wark have worked together to gather information on John Hart to enable us to work on a documentary on his life. Greg managed to find an excellent videographer and to pull all the research together into this documentary that we hope you will enjoy and also learn more about this New Jersey Signer.
