DSDI Treasurer General Authors History Book on Avon, Connecticut

Congratulation to DSDI Treasurer General Scott Lewis on his recently published book Avon, Connecticut’s First Century: Visionaries and Victims! The book reveals the stories of the visionaries and victims who shaped the town of Avon’s future as the residents cross paths with Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, and Eleanor Roosevelt, just to name a few.

A resident of Avon, Connecticut, Scott also serves on the board of the Avon Land Trust and has given several presentations on the town’s history. Scott also builds and maintains hiking trails in Avon. Prior to his retirement in 2023, Scott was a senior vice president at The Hartford, where he served as controller and chief accounting officer from 2013 to 2023. Scott is a descendant of signer Josiah Bartlett from New Hampshire.
