Since 2004, the Society has implemented a project to honor the Signers of the Declaration of Independence by placing a plaque at the grave of each Signer to honor their memory and their great deed of signing.
The plaques are placed when permission is granted from the cemeteries involved. A bronze plaque engraved with the Signer’s name is permanently installed at the grave site.

She overcame many obstacles and as a result, we are pleased to report that all 56 Signers now have a plaque or cenotaph installed at an appropriate location to commemorate their heroic sacrifice.”
